RELATIONSHIP OF WEIGHT GAIN, ANEMIA AND AGE WITH LOW BIRTH WEIGHT INFANTS

Background: The incidence of LBW is still an important health problem because it contributes to infant mortality. There are several factors that influence the occurrence there weight gain, anemia and mother’s age during pregnancy. in east java province 2018 was 6,4%, this figure 0,2% higher than national rate. purpose study determine relationship between maternal gain pregnancy, with low birth babies at RSUD Dr. M. Soewandhie Surabaya. Method: This used observational analytic method a case control approach. Sampling consecutive sampling technique. medical record data for mothers giving delivery room Surabaya 2018. sample were 45 (LBW)and normal (BBLN). Data analysis chi-square test. Result: results test α 0,05 showed mother (p = 0.02) related weight. Meanwhile pregnancy 0.06) 1) not LBW. Conclusion: These research corelation beetween Low Birth Weight no on Weight.
